Documentary Films by Big Head Media
Filming - Editing - Production.

After spending the best part of a year working on a 'making of' documentary for a low budget feature, 'Charlies Party', Big Head Media has developed a passion for documentaries. We can produce original, investigative journalistic documentaries or work to your own specifications. Each project we undertake is different so we treat every project as an entirely new concept and can work along side you to give you exactly what you want.

Charlie's Party
'Charlie's Party' is a feature film set in New York City and Connecticut about a woman who is an ex Video Jockey for a cable tv station and is about to turn thirty. Obsessed with setting up her own tv show, she attempts to throw a sex party which turns out to be a disaster (for her, anyway) in a vein attempt to attract her idol (a beautiful young female presenter) to co host her show with her. As the alcohol kicks in and the gloves come off, Charlie and her guests must face why they're really there. But it's not until midnight, when straws are drawn, and the partner swapping begins, that we find out if Charlie and her guests get what they came for.

The Making of Charlies Party
Big Head Media were commissioned to produce the 'The Dilettante Guide to Lo Budget Filmmaking' (The Making of'). This documentary follows three chancers who have left their lucrative City jobs for the gritty world of independent film. Through a series of irreverent vignettes this one hour documentary is both a step by step guide to 'lo budget 'filmmaking and a bittersweet tale of three stubborn people following a dream. The vignettes focus on everything from script development to budgets and fundraising through to casting, rehearsals, shooting and most importantly catering.

The film and documentary were released in 2004.
